The Wack was started in December 2020 by owner Chris Squires (at least something good came out of 2020). Beginning his career in 2003, Chris instantly fell in love with the quality of life window cleaning provided him both on and off the glass. Making a living while getting to spend everyday hanging off the high rises of Vancouver was something he never thought possible. The views from the skyscrapers combined with the community of the crew and clients made it a dream job. In 2012 Chris started a high rise window cleaning company called, One City Window Cleaners. To say “thank you”to the industry that provided him so much, One City was built on the premise that with every job completed a portion of the profits were donated to local charities. In 2015 Chris moved his family to Kingston Ontario where he ran operations and sales for Elite Window Cleaning, a large scale corporate window cleaning company, founded by himself and his best friend Chris Stoness (yeah, they’re both named Chris). “Elite” grew quickly being contracted by local colleges, large hospital campuses, local municipal contracts, the city of Ottawa, the prestigious Queen’s university and many local property management firms and home owners. “Elite” even had the opportunity to work at parliament hill in Ottawa and was granted access to the prime minister’s private office to quote on cleaning his windows. (Not too bad for a couple of best friends.) After franchising Elite and growing the business to 10 locations with over 40 employees, it was time to move back to BC closer to family.
“We are happy to be home in BC and are excited for the opportunity to help make our community shine.”
Thank you Chilli’Wack’
Chris
